Reviews

Sin Maletas, Revised Edition Published by Editorial Carena (Spain) in 2019.

“There is a lot of talk about forced migration yet little is known. It is seen as a terrible problem suffered by people far away from us. Also, it belongs to the sad category of problems outworn in the press. Hence, it is usually viewed with indifference. This book dignifies refugees by making their lives visible and finally granting them the justice of a suitcase where their voices will fit. That is already something formidable. Sin Maletas is a book as endearing as it is necessary."

—Alberto Salcedo Ramos.

Peer-Reviewed Research Article Published by Universidad Iberoamericana.

“Within the register of living, an investigation like the one Gabriela Benazar Acosta presents in Migration, Stagnation and Segregation: Spatial Policies in Greece after the EU-Turkey Agreement, confirms the way in which European policies have been insufficient and have rather created "Borders within the borders", where the state of exception and suspension of rights is perpetuated, in the manner understood by Agamben.”

— José Luis Barrios.
